Howard Dean. This name is a very powerful name inside my political being. I'm not going to lie, I wish Dean was the nominee. However, everything does happen for a reason.
We Deaniacs have been called everything from communists to the very far left; but one thing is true, we are an energized force in socially progressive politics.
Since dropping out of the Presidential race, Howard Dean has become even more energized and his new group DEMOCRACYFORAMERICA.com has seen new surges of support.
Some of us Dean activists even started a group known as Dean For VP. But, we need to cut the strings a tad. We really need to unite behind our Democratic Nominee John Kerry. Again, Kerry is not my first choice, but, we have to remember the alternative is the most radical President that has ever been in office, and we simply can not allow Bush to win.
I believe there is tremendous promise in the Kerry/Edwards ticket. My prediction is, once elected, we will see a surge of energy within John Kerry that he was not able to show in such a close political race. We have a wonderful running mate with Kerry, and we simply need to unite behind them both.
Run for Delegate. Become active in local politics. Start a blog. Even though we will not have Dean as our President in 2004, our Dean political views can remain strong if we unite and become active. We can't sit back and whine. We know Dean deserved to be the nominee, but folks, we have to realize that the election is nearing and it is time to stop drowning in tears and really take back America.
I have every reason to believe that Howard Dean has a place in the Kerry Administration. Just think of the possibilities our socially progressive influence will have if we let Kerry know we are behind him, and if we do this our legacy will live on. We must not fizzle out.
So I ask of you:
Do you want to take America back?
Start Now!
Unite behind Kerry.
