Known locally in Austin, Texas to appear at rallies and anti-war demonstrations, Angell is self described as "The most famous gay activist in Austin that everybody knows OF but nobody KNOWS".

    It’s almost unimaginable that Tom DeLay would have the nerve to cross the Austin city limits, but he’s coming to town to — you guessed it — raise money. He’ll be meeting with fat cat donors at the Austin Club, and we’d like to let him know how much we appreciate his ability to draw a redistricting map. We’ll be joined by the Terminix bug www.offbeattravel.com (to remind Tom of his former career), lots of media, and a whole lot of Democrats. Take an early lunch hour and join us! Bring a sign!
