    Joshua Angell, also known as Josh Angell (born June 3, 1979), is an outspoken Liberal activist who has run a news blog since 2004, entitled "Voice Of The Majority" Angell, a frequent caller to radio shows such as Lynn Samuels, is often outspoken on what he calls "the lies of the Bush Crime Family". Known locally in Austin, Texas to appear at rallies and anti-war demonstrations, Angell is self described as "The most famous gay activist in Austin that everybody knows OF but nobody KNOWS".

    City of Austin, Tx. Election Results For the may 7 2005 elections:
    Place 3 City Council race heads to June 11 runoff

    Two Austin City Council races were decided Saturday, May 7, 2005, but one position will be going to a June 11 runoff. The initiative to restrict smoking in public places was approved and goes into effect Sept. 1, 2005.
    Winning positions on the City Council were Lee Leffingwell in Place 1 and incumbent Betty Dunkerley in Place 4. Dunkerley will be serving her second term.
    The Place 3 runoff will be between Margot Clarke and Jennifer Kim.
    Incumbents Daryl Slusher in Place 1 and Mayor Pro Tem Jackie Goodman in Place 3 both decided not to seek re-election.

    For: 34,197 (51.83 percent)
    Against: 31,777 (48.17 percent)

    Casey Walker: 7,311 (13.46 percent)

    Andrew Bucknall: 4,325 (7.96 percent)

    Scott Adams: 1,468 (2.70 percent)

    Early voting for the runoff will be May 25-June 7. Canvassing of the May 7 vote will be 10:30 a.m. May 17 at Austin City Hall.
